The Boat -EL JEFE is a 42' Henriques EX HT known as a Hardtop Express, powered by CAT C12.9 diesel engines. A total of 1700 horsepower will push El Jefe at a cruising speed well over 30 knots. This means you get to the fishing grounds fast so more of your day is spent fishing. The CAT engines burn clean and produce virtually no diesel smoke or smell associated with most diesel boats. The Henriques 42' EXHT is both extremely comfortable and seaworthy.

El JEFE is equipped with state of the art equipment, including a Seakeeper. The Seakeeper is designed to eliminate 95% of boat roll. Boat roll occurs most often while fishing on drift when ocean swells or wind waves cause the boat to roll on its axis. Boat roll can make fishing offshore both difficult and cause fatigue. The Seakeeper stabilizes the boat making your fishing experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. While the Henriques 42' is already a very stable fishing platform the Seakeeper takes it to a whole new level.
EL JEFE is equipped with the state of the art electronics. At the helm there are triple Garmin 8617 displays to view the sonar, radar, charts, Lorex cameras and the FLIR thermal camera. In the cockpit there is a Garmin 7612 and the tower has two 7608 multi-function displays. A JL Audio sound system is available to enjoy your favorite tunes, while full boat surround cameras can record your fishing experience and more. Literally, you could not find an offshore boat better equipped!
There are 3 LleBroc helm chairs with additional comfortable seating along the starboard side and rear bulkhead. The mezzanine overlooking the cockpit provides sheltered seating outside for those who want to take in fresh ocean air and a view off the stern.

A fully enclosed bridge with heating and AC provides dry and comfortable shelter from the elements. While we tend to experience great weather on the Oregon Coast during tuna season the mornings can still be cold and wet. After spending many years fishing an express boat with a canvas enclosure I quickly found my experience much more enjoyable in a quiet and climate controlled environment.
